I’m Sharon Schaffer, the business owner and certified home stager of GLASS CITY STAGERS. We all have our own gifts and talents, and looking back over my childhood, I realize that mine is being able to walk into a room and visualize the best space layout. I carefully choose scale-to-room furniture and accessories that complement each other throughout the space with great attention to detail. I love staging vacant homes, consulting sellers in their occupied homes, and assisting clients with decorating their own homes in and around the Glass City Capital (northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan).

I was born and raised in Michigan and moved six times in 13 years with two toddlers! From Ohio to Michigan, Michigan to Georgia (sold first house; downsized and flipped second house), from Georgia to New Orleans and then back to Michigan so I have lived and know well the stress of moving. I also understand the difficulty but importance of having your home 'show ready' at any given moment for those prospective buyers!

Looking back over my childhood, I recall how I use to look around a room and wonder "why this was here or that was there and how it would look better over there and usually changed it around." So after returning to my hometown in 2014, my husband encouraged me to turn my experience, passion of houses, and decorating into a business and help others navigate through these same 'moving' waters.

I work hard to bring the seller(s) relief while having fun helping them prepare their home for the competitive housing market. Every property has its own personality and I love the challenge of enhancing each home differently without distracting from it. Whether it's a vacant or occupied home, my passion is implementing the proper decor, scale-to-size furniture, and efficient space planning. I am a certified Professional Property Stager, a member of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), and the only accredited local home staging company of the Better Business Bureau Serving Northwest and West Central Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

Lastly, I realize some clients are not moving but want to update their home for their own enjoyment! It may not necessarily mean ripping out every wall but making smaller changes that freshen up their current space through paint, flooring, furniture, lighting, and/or accessories. I am detail-oriented and observant when helping clients create their own personalized space; my goal is meeting their decorating style for their season of life within the budget.
